all the luck in the world is at once an odyssey, an epic, and a meditation on the strength inherent in accepting and living through one's last days in the corporeal. utilizing the guitar as his primary means of expression, mike guides us through a reverently textured and sculpted, woven until seamless, series of instrumental compositions. where one may approach this album as one of the more soul wrenching contemporary ambient works another may recognize the nods to country blues of the 20s and the american primitive movement of the 60s. above all, this album is for tending to the present moment. of not looking for peace in our mourning but accepting that the pain means we love, we feel, and have not lost.
